The delivery target for local letters is the next working day. However, any mail posted between Friday and Sunday will be delivered on Monday.
International Letters – Priority
An affordable service that extends to every corner of the world. All international mail goes through Royal Mail.

Poste Restante
This service allows overseas visitors to Gibraltar, to receive letters or parcels. Packages containing merchandise or goods will need to be collected from our Parcel Office and may pay duty. ID will be required for collection.
EMS – Merchandise
A fast and secure service available for: UK, USA & Spain only. It provides tracking* and requires a signature on delivery. Delivery target – 2 to 11 working days (Max weight – 20kg)
Parcel Post – Priority (Air)
The service to choose if you require a good, all round and cost effective parcel service with a signature on delivery to most parts of the world. It reaches over 200 destinations worldwide, and permits a maximum weight of 20 Kg. Postage is determined by the weight and destination of the parcel.

Parcel Post – Non-priority (prev. economy)
If cost is a primary consideration this service may be for you. The service (known in some countries as International Economy) will generally be the cheapest option. It is not, however, available to the UK and EU. Delivery times are longer as dispatches tend to be consolidated during transit. This service is recommended for goods with no stringent value.
Delivery target – 2 to 9 weeks.

Registered Post
Non-dutiable registered letters that could not be delivered are available for collection the next working day from the PO Box counter at Irish Town.
International Tracked & Signed
The secure way to send your mail with a signature on delivery as well as tracking. An additional fee of £4 is payable plus postage. Delivery target – 3 to 15 working days. Compensation – £21 max.
International Express (service currently suspended)
The ‘Express’ letter service affords a speedier delivery once the item has arrived in the country of destination.
PO Box
The PO Box is a secure and convenient way to have personal or business mail delivered. It provides a separate delivery address which will remain constant even if you move house or offices.
Mail Redirection (Local)
If you move house or change offices you may redirect your mail for a fee of £50 to the new address or a PO Box for a period of 12 months.
Mail Redirection (International)
If you move house or change offices you may redirect your mail for a fee of £50 for local address and £75 international addresses for a period of 12 months.
Notification Cards
If you are waiting to receive your parcel locally, a notification card will be sent to you by post. This enables you to collect the parcel at the Parcel Office located at Unit E,
7 Admiral Rooke Road. Those items not collected after 28 days will be sent back to sender. Before the 28 days expire you will receive a final notice for collection.Advice of Delivery
This service only applies for Registered, Insured and Parcels and provides a delivery confirmation by way of a returned notification form/slip.
Appointing someone to collect your mail
If you need to send someone to collect your mail, please remember that both the RGPO and HM Customs (if duty is payable) will need to positively establish that the person collecting has been authorized by you. An authorizing letter from you plus your ID is normally sufficient, however, if in doubt please enquire with us before hand.
Claims
In the event of a non-delivered registered item, a claim for compensation can be made within 6 months but only after 25 days of posting. The original posting certificate will be required. Claims can only be made for registered mail posted in Gibraltar.
